Every dog adopted from From Pug with Love will come with a medical report documenting their spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and rabies tag, along with any personal belongings they arrived with or received while in our care, such as a leash, collar, food for a transition period, and other items specific to their needs.

Choosing the right food for your new pug is an important part of helping them stay healthy and thrive. There are many quality options available, and every dog is different, so finding the right food for you and your dog may take a little trial and error. We recommend asking retailers if they have samples you can try until you know what works well for your dog. If your pug is coming home with food from us, we recommend transitioning slowly rather than changing foods abruptly. Your adoption paperwork will include any dietary information we have about your dog, including foods they have been eating and any known sensitivities. Our Foster &. The best way to help your new dog settle in is to follow our take-home instructions and take things one step at a time. Every dog and home is different, so give your new companion time, patience, and space to adjust. Remember, you’re not on your own after adoption. We provide veterinary care for known health conditions and any medical issues that arise while a dog is in our care. We disclose all known conditions and treatment plans during the adoption. Dogs coming from shelters may have limited medical history and may have been exposed to common, temporary conditions such as kennel cough, diarrhea, or giardia. These are generally treatable, but we recommend familiarizing yourself with them. Please ensure your resident dog is current on vaccinations, especially Bordetella.

We’re fortunate to work with adopters throughout Nevada and surrounding states. Out-of-area applicants are welcome as long as everyone in the household, (including resident pets) are able to travel to Las Vegas to meet in person and complete the adoption. This allows us to observe interactions and help ensure a safe, responsible, lifelong match. If the placement does not work out at any point, the dog must be returned to From Pug With Love.
